When I started yoga teacher training I could barely balance on my left leg. I was recovering from a running injury to my ankle and we would do tree pose and I would fall almost every.single.time. It was the biggest ego check and the moment of discovering living yoga.
I began to focus on my breathing and strengthening my core and I stopped glancing around the room to see what everyone else was doing. I practiced the asana (posture) of tree and I stopped thinking about how I looked and more about how I felt.
Practice is the universal yoga kernel of wisdom that we all could benefit from. Just do the next thing that you are supposed to do. And do it really well, the best that you can. Show up and practice. It will make you a better person and parent and spouse and you will uncover the richness of a tuned in life. Don't worry about the achievement or what happens "one day." Be faithful to right now. "Do the practice. All is coming."
